Assistance Program
SERC’s Assistance Program is a voluntary, confidential resource for registered entities to ask questions, seek technical insight, and request tailored support to help improve the reliability and security of the bulk power system.

What Makes the Assist Team Different
The SERC Assist Team is not part of Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement. This separation allows registered entities to speak openly and explore solutions without regulatory concern. Our team can review internal controls, walk through documentation, and discuss implementation questions in a secure and supportive environment.
How We Can Help
Physical Security
Learn How to strengthen site security with guidance from experts. We offer reviews of CIP-006 and CIP-014, as well as optional workshops informed by collaboration with DHS and FBI partners.
Cyber Security
Get help evaluating internal controls, program design and cyber resilience efforts. We can also review CIP documentation and identify opportunities for improvement.
CIP and O&P Standards
Talk through common challenges related to Reliability Standards. Our team can help clarify expectations and support efforts to address violations or emerging issues.
Workshops and Training
Request customized sessions on topics that matter most to your team. From one-time discussions to multi-session learning, we’ll help you find the right fit.
Get Started
The Assistance Program is open to all registered entities in the SERC region. Submit a request to connect with our team.
